Product Description
Piperine an alkaloid found in the spikes and oleoresin of the peppercorn plant, is also present in high concentration in the skin of the pepper berries. Piperine is also found in black pepper and similar plants, and, even though piperine obtained from natural sources is about 98% pure, it is for chemical and medical purposes, laboratory-produced.
PRODUCT FUNCTION
1- Anti-inflammationBlack Pepper Extract Piperine can inhibit production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Thereby, it cuts down expression of inflammatorycytokines such as interleukin 1, interleukin 6, tumor necrosis factor α, etc. Therefore, Piperine can reduceinflammation and pain. It exerts an banti-inflammatory effect.
2-Promotion of penetration Black Pepper Extract Piperine can be absorbed through skin, and act directly on subcutaneous tissues, nerves and blood vessels. Thus Piperine can significantly improve and promote absorption and utilization of active ingredients in skin. Also it can help cosmetic ingredients quickly penetrate into skin.
3-Anti-oxidationBlack Pepper Extract Piperine can reduce oxidative stress damage of cells in the process of oxygen free radicals generation and scavenging. Additionally, it has certain scavenging capacity to hydroxyl and DPPH free radicals. It exhibits anti-oxidation property. Its anti-oxidative capacity is equivalent to 60.05% of vitamin C; and it is stable in acidic medium.
4-Other functionBlack Pepper Extract Piperine can stimulate activity of melanocytes. It increases the amount of tyrosine, and promotes expression of TPR1. Thus Piperine accelerates synthesis of melanin in epidermal melanocytes. It can be added into cosmeceuticals for treatment of depigmentation dermatosis.
Application:
Black Pepper Extract Piperine is mainly used in cosmetics. It can be used as an osmotic agent to add into toner, emulsion, facial cream, essence and other skin care products. It can also acts as fragrance of perfume. Moreover, Black Pepper Extract Piperine is an active ingredient in cosmetics to treat depigmentation dermatosis.
